Rare Origin, Tour 2 (Peru-Peru-Peru)

Posted by Tony Bitner on

Hello friends,

Like most of you, we were glad to say goodbye to 2020 and we're starting to really look forward to spring time. We are continually grateful for the support of our customers who buy RDC coffee in their local grocery stores or online, and to the hardworking cafes, coffee shops, and local businesses we partner with. This month, we are excited to announce Peru is the next stop in our Rare Origins tour 2. We have three delicious, exclusive coffees from this powerhouse coffee growing country.

Here's the new tour itinerary:

Stop #1 - March: The coffee comes to us from the 12-acre family farm Bosques de Huemantanga. This flavorful coffee is double fermented. The process yields an intensive, deep flavor. Look for notes of pineapple, cranberry, guava and brown sugar.

Stop #2 - April: This coffee comes from a micro-lot in the Cajamarca region. This 8.5 acre family farm, El Duende, is located near the community of San Ignacio. They have harvested a lovely, washed, bean with a depth of savory and sweet notes. Orange and lime citrus notes collide with a savory, mild tomato profile and a caramel sweetness in the finish.

Stop #3 - May: We'll be traveling from Northern Peru to the central forest region. This coffee is from a farm, Finca Tasta, run by siblings Edith and Evan Mesa Sagarvinaga. This is a high grown, honey-processed coffee with notes of apple cider, tangerine, peanut butter and clove.

How to buy Rare Origins: If you’d like to receive these exclusive beans, please reserve your Tour 2 spots now. The beans will ship on the first of the month. These are limited supply coffees, so please sign up for your choice of one, two, or all three months soon. Save 10% when purchasing the full tour.
